Connor is taking a sabbatical year before going to college, and Daniel, his sort-tempered dad, is not happy about it. He wants his slacker Connor to move out ASAP, but Addyson, Connor’s overcaring pushover stepmom, tends to let him get away with everything. Every time Daniel starts arguing with Connor, Addyson steps between them, always taking Connor’s side. Noticing his stepmom’s bias in his favor, Connor decides to pull a little shenanigan on his parents by creating the most absurd fake news he can think of: freeuse is now mandatory! Daniel immediately discredits Connor’s silly idea, but Addyson assures him they must abide by the rules! Despite Daniel’s reluctance, Connor starts freeusing his stepmom around the house, even when they are trying to have a nice moment together as a family. Daniel watches, uneasy, as his son teases his wife, while Connor enjoys every second of it, knowing the fun won’t last long.
